I think booing another team is rude and obnoxious. Most of the time it is beneath anyone's dignity. But how does one express contempt for a woman who betrayed her country and then ran for the Senate selling votes and releasing terrorists from prison? How does one respond to a woman who took a private jet when a commercial jet would have been a statement of confidence in the country? What is the correct response for a woman who injured a man by running him down rather than submit herself to a routine security check? The Left has shown nothing but contempt for our military and our safety forces. I think booing and shouting Hillary down is polite, considering her record.

Obviously you missed the threads where people rang up Al Gore's conference call line, and flushed the toilet...now that was RUDE!!! Oh....I need to laugh that hard again.

By any chance, do you have a link to that? I *really* need to laugh these days. :-D

Why the heroes booed and deservately so...(from various articles)

"Back in her Yale Law School days, Hillary was party to one especially venomous critique of the police. At that time, she served as associate editor of a student journal which depicted city policemen as racist pigs--literally--and even seemed to glorify cop-killing." "As an editor of the Yale Review of Law and Social Action, she helped supervise the production of a double issue devoted to a local trial of Black Panther members. The issue included drawings showing hairy pigs in police uniforms snorting racial slurs. One picture showed a squealing, decapitated “pig" with the caption "Seize the Time."

"Today, Hillary keeps company with cop-basher par excellence Al Sharpton, who seems to view just about any police officer in a minority neighborhood as a "white interloper" (his phrase)."

"It occurred to me, watching this sordid and sickeningly familiar performance, that in recent decades many lives have been lost (both white and black) and many more will continue to be lost as a result of the anti-police paranoia whose flames are fanned by demagogues like Jackson, Seale, Sharpton and Hillary Clinton."

When the jerk herself was to be nominated to run for senate "Members of the Albany Police Department Honor Guard were harassed and spit on by a few people as they carried flags into Tuesday's Democratic state convention at Pepsi Arena, officials said."

A few things.

I understand and can respect the opinions of those who disagree with my opinion. I find it interesting that because I found booing Sen. Clinton rude etc, I am called a shill and worse. Oh well, I guess when one does not have much of an argument, descending into name calling or personal attacks is the best one can do.

My point still stands, booing her was rude and beneath conservatives (obviously not all those who were booing were conservatives).

This is not a rarified view of someone who is busy playing golf at the country club, but rather the view of someone who has taken very seriously the admonition of Christ to do unto others. Forgive me if this makes me an elitist/country clubber.

In the following scene, replace law with manners, and you will see my point.

Roper: So now you'd give the Devil benefit of law!

More: Yes. What would you do? Cut a great road through the law to get after the Devil?

Roper: I'd cut down every law in England to do that!

More: Oh? And when the last law was down, and the Devil turned round on you - where would you hide, Roper, the laws all being flat? This country's planted thick with laws from coast to coast - man's laws, not God's - and if you cut them down - and you're just the man to do it - d'you really think you could stand upright in the winds that would blow then? Yes, I'd give the Devil benefit of law, for my own safety's sake.

Although I can understand the point, I disagree with the solution.

Conservatives might not portray themselves in the best light by actively opposing the appearance of the Clintons, but it has to be done. Save the popularity contests for the liberals.

Ignoring the atrocities of Bill and Hillary would be the same as condoning them...

Wait a minute. Also tell me you're an old fan of Rush Limbaugh, you've listening from the beginning, and you love the show and always agree with the host, but.....Being "nice" to a filthy, corrupt, thieving, lying crook and national disgrace, not to mention a pro-terrorist and murderer hugger is the epitome of stupidity. It's also an insult to the true brave men and women of courage that genuinely deserve applause and praise. To hell with that malignant, carpet munching freak whose God is money, whose ambition is herself, and whose supporters are the twisted and the degenerate. That dirty bitch should consider herself damned lucky that "boos" were the only thing thrown at her. Watsonfellow, Sherlock must be dying from shame because of you. Jesus, get a clue.

Naturally the media liars said nothing about what was happening, but covered up for clinton.

Which is exactly why booing was appropriate. The media almost never acknowledges how hated she is by a large portion of the public. With this, they still won't acknowledge it, but it was too grand of a stage for it not to have an effect on them. Before I might have believed that they didn't actually know how many people felt this way. But not now. They have to deal with this in the future, because I bet that ain't the last time that happens.

The policemen and firemen should have just done nothing when she appeared on stage, no clapping, no booing, the silence would have expressed the same thing, but in a much more dignified way.

And the narcissistic bitch would have just thought they were all in awe of her. She probably would have gone into a 15 minute diatribe against the VRWC.

Too bad they didn't throw beer bottles and D-cell batteries at her instead.

Well, you certainly have an interesting take on the situation.  I imagine there were many who got "caught up" in the moment.  There's a lot of wisdom to your idea that dead silence would have served the purpose!  ..... However, Ms. Rodham-Clinton has made her own bed.  From the campaign contributions to those ignorant looks on her face when President Bush was speaking to the nation.  She deserved what she got IMHO.   Those honest-working men and women of the police and fire departments could see right through her from 9/11 on.
We are experiencing a similar situation here in Houston with the mayor, The DIS-Honorable Lee (out of town) P.(Pothole) Brown.  He has similarly felt the weight of firefighters and police on his shoulders and justly so.

I have criticized Hillary loudly, publicly, and to her face, and I would do it again.

These people (the Clintons) are detestable traitors. Traitors, by law, have traditionally suffered death by hanging.

"Booing" is the least of what this evil person deserves.

Tell it to the Marines!

I suppose you'd have thought it rude, too, when Christ over-turned the moneychangers' tables.

You're on the wrong forum, Watson. Most people here wish the brave police and firemen had hurled her off the stage.

This has the makings of a l-o-n-g thread. You underestimate our raging contempt for Hillary. Get out of our way.

Oh come on! The "boo" has been a universal expression of displeasure for centuries. We didn't invent it, and we used it that night for its intended purpose. Hillary can be thankful that the worst she got was a sound booing. In the old days, the crowd would have tarred and feathered her, then rid her outta town strattlin' a rail.
