OK, I guess it's his suit jacket. Time to get a new monitor!
Sure looks like he's holding on to something to me. Oh, well.
WELCOME, Kath!! This is a great place to be, isn't it?!!
lawgirl, I'll tape the speech for you, and add it to the collection of videos of W that I'm planning to send you! (I tape everything!)

It was a terrible storm,Im right outside Decatur, Il... it lasted about 2 hrs.
We had 2 tornadoes, one touched down, but little damage....the winds were terrible, I thought I was going to lose my roof....stay safe everyone.

Good job on the Dose tonight! Thanks.

Thanks lawgirl! I saw the speech today on Fox.
For those of you who don't have Fox, GET IT!!! Get a dish!!! It is worth it!!! Fox today had the President's speech (and showed an insert when he arrived back at the White House, so we would know he was safe and sound), Powell testifying before the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, Pentagon Press Briefing, Ari's press briefing, FBI Director Mueller's press conference, and interesting stuff on the War. It is superior to anything else in the amount of coverage they give to the White House, AND they still are showing an American Flag behind their logo.
President Bush's speech was great, and his earnestness and sincerity and his dedication show in every word and gesture. Great crowd response as well.

Great job tonight, lawgirl! We know it was a sacrifice for you to look through all the news sources and
endure seeing all those pictures of President Bush to do this for us and we really appreciate your taking on the arduous task. /sarcasm
Kinda like throwing ol' Br'er Rabbit in the briar patch, isn't it? ...... *grins*
Miss Marple ~~~ I caught the President's speech today and was somewhat taken aback by the crowd reaction. I was pumping my fist and shouting "YES!" over just about every sentence he uttered ..... it was a very forceful speech. The crowd only applauded occasionally. However, in these pictures, it certainly looks like he got an enthusiastic response to the visit in the plant.
God bless President Bush and God bless America!

I had exactly the same reaction to those pics, he looked pale and tired. However, I really think that's just the lighting and coloring of the pictures, because I'm sitting here watching the speech, and he is energized, he is forceful, and he looks really good. His speech was terrific! Rush was right, there's so much in his expression that you miss from just hearing him talk rather than seeing it too.
Was it just me, or was he tearing up a lot at certain points?
Lawgirl, that quote you picked out is fabulous!
BTW, if anyone has suggestions on hosting and making audio/video files available, let me know. I have the capability of making a *.avi file of the speech, but I don't know how to make it available for people to download.

I cannot thank you enough for posting this. There are no words to thank you enough.

I think the workers were in awe of the situation. If they do not watch Fox, for example, they probably had no idea that he and Laura are travelling making policy statements regularly. They were probably thinking: What is he doing here?
Lawgirl, that is a great quote - I am watching the speech (for the third time) because it is on C-SPAN now, and I had taped it on Fox this afternoon. I think President Bush got tears in his eyes when he said at the end that he is so honored to be the president of this great nation, and thanked the workers for letting him 'come by.'
