This can't be. I thought Tim McVeigh was responsible!

It's high time that we called on Ft. Detrick to find their nastiest, dirtiest, most active and virulant germ cultures and send them to the middle east. Save our men - let the bugs do their work. And when people start dropping like flies in Afghanistan and Iraq, we can just shake our heads and remark how stupid they were to experiment with dangerous biological organisms.

Now it's not just ABC reporting the story.

I heard news reports today of several authorities at odds on the "Iraq trademark." Apparently, W's spokesmouth, Ari Fliescher (sp?), was quick to discount it. I've been wondering if they are worried about an intense public call to use WMD against Iraq.

But - but - but... Andrea Mitchell said it was the evil Midwesterners!! Right wingers!! What's a sucker mom to think???
Just had to 'diss' the clueless Mitchell. I'm tired of the fingers pointing at US! Besides, right wingers wouldn't mess with the tabloid news, it would be CNN instead! Those lefties have NO common sense :-)

Before everyone goes crazy about bentonite, it is a VERY common ingredient with well understood properties.
- well-drilling mud, where several pounds of bentonite are added per cubic foot of water to form a gel which lubricates the drill bit, helps to keep the walls of the borehole intact, reduces loss of drilling fluid and, when circulated during drilling, helps to bring the cuttings to the surface.
- pelletizing and binding agent for iron ore prior to smelting
- binder and digestive aid in animal feed
- sealing agent for reservoirs, lagoons and other engineering projects
- plasticizer in ceramic clay bodies
- binder of foundry sand
- carrier of insecticide and pesticide
- agent in water and effluent purification
- absorbent material for cat litter. (Most cat litter is bentonite)

Since when is Bentonite, a commonly mined clay a "chemical agent" ? I'm not sure that we can label Iraq over mixing kitty litter in with anthrax.
