I believe that the letters to Brokaw and the NYP are photocopies, or made with carbon copy paper. They are exactly the same, down to the scribbles on the "T"s and "A" and the location of the letters on the page. If made with Cc paper, that paper is somewhere. I don't know about tracing a xerox.

If you can find a suspect machine, xerography machine can be confirmed. Items such as skew, minute errors in magnification across page, scratches on mirrow, drum, glass, composition of toner, etc.
