WHO IS WATCHING THIS CRACKHEAD'S STUPID SHOW?
Cinnamon Girl | Nov. 1, 2001 | Cinnamon Girl

I saw "West Wing" for the first time last night and I HATED it. It's funny that Sorkin is in a panic about McCarthy era blacklisting because his show takes the cake for sledgehammer-style Communist propaganda. How can so many people be watching this nonsense? It is rated in the top 10, so obviously it's not just Democrats who are getting busy tuning in every week.

It opened with the press secretary saying that the president would veto the repeal of the estate tax because that extra tax money is needed for "extraneous things like, oh, caring for the sick, and teaching people to read." WHAT B.S.! Then this press secretary gets upset with a reporter who snipes at her about her clothing, so she yanks the reporter's press credentials. Ari fans out there know that Sorkin criticized Ari for reponding to a question from a Baltimore radio reporter (Les something) who asked what Ari thought about Bill Maher calling the military cowardly with, "people should watch what they say." That radio reporter claimed that Ari stopped calling on him because he was ticked. It is totally STUPID to think that Ari was advocating restricting free speech. Face it, even Bill Maher wishes he had watched what he had said.

I thought the writing was simplistic and uninspired and the characters were cold and robotic. (the Gore White House as envisioned by Sorkin?) "Republicans" were referred to in the same hushed tones as the dinosaurs in "Jurassic Park:" another horrible menace to our human way of life.

Thankfully, Martin Sheen was only on for a few minutes (which was still a few minutes too many,) but in that time he caused a lot of propaganda to spew forth about Palestinian and Israeli children playing together in peace right after another Palestinian suicide bombing (let's also invision Martin's sons Charlie and Emilio playing hand in hand with Osama bin Laden Jr.) And then the whole terrorist attack was resolved within the hour when Arafat caught the particular terrorist who ordered the attack. Yeah. Right.

The "West Wing" is such pure DNC brainwashing, it's a wonder the GOP can't demand equal time.

Sorkin feels a certain gratitude to Bill Maher because he spoke out in Sorkin's favor after his (Sorkin's) drug arrest. What a bunch of creeps!

Yanking credentials from a reporter. Didn't that happen in the Clinton White House with Paul Sperry?

I don't know who's watching it.

I watched less then 5 minutes once and I thought I was watching television through an alternate universe.

There is no relation to reality.

But maybe that's the point.

It's a fantasy world of "Wouldn't the world be a perfect place if only liberals were in control?"

I loved president Sheen's line regarding the death tax: "I'm not going to pass a bill that only helps 4500 people." at least, I think that's what he said :)

The dems at the loser liberal websites rave about this show. I think it's because democrats live in a fantasy world, the real world scares them. TV shows are for the most part a waste of time, people need to live life instead of spending their time watching hollywoods version of it. I sure as heck to want to my death bed thinking man I'm sure gonna miss watching the "westwing".

I've watched precisely 5 minutes of one episode, and that was enough for me. Never watched it before, haven't since, never will again. I'm sure it's chock full of propaganda, but there was something even worse IMHO: It's just plain boring.

I assume it's written for people who don't or can't pay attention to real news, and have the attention span and intellectual sophistication of junior high school civics students.

You made the mistake of watching it. 90% of the shows on TV reflect the values of the depraved left - and people believe it's real life! (that's the sad part). Throw your TV out the window!

"The show stinks! Why are you watching it?"

You've watched it more than I have. I wouldn't know the show if I surfed through it.

And then to top it off they had a "moderate Republican" say that his party's desire to repeal the death tax makes him want to puke. "Tax breaks for multi-billionaires," he hissed. But then, I can't expect a guy who lies to himself about being a crack addict to seek the truth in public policy.

Funny that you should say that. I don't have a t.v. I borrowed a t.v. from someone on Sept. 11th and am returning it next week. I thought I'd check out West Wing because some of my lefty friends rave about it. I saw enough.
