"It began to engage the Canaanite city-states and to seize them one by one, inflicting ruin and destruction, using all sorts of treachery and deception in order to drive a wedge between the Canaanite city-states."What? You all never read the old testament?

I have, and the parts I remember are a Hebrew people fantastically outnumbered, often fighting with a shepherd boy using a sling, or by marching around walls shouting. The only "deception" I can find has to do with allowing the Lord to fight their battles for them. But, of course, if you ain't on the Lord's side, I guess you'd call that "deception."
