I'm rethinking some things, and you guys, if anyone can answer them.

With the anthrax letters, and the spores, would the letter opener notice the germs? Must they appear as a "powder?" Grains? Anything visible or sensible by touch?

Did any letter opener mention this? We have the possible J-Lo package, and the powder among it, but this powder could have leaked from the soap packet in the package. Some report the powder being "soapy." (That doesn't preclude anthrax also being among the items)

Could this first AMI report have spun peoples' assumptions about a noticeable powder? Has an report of an actual anthrax letter mention a powder? (I don't see it on the FBI site, anywhere, for one.)
