I read enough of this to say "bull sh!t" to this stuff. I was wanded, patted down on a flight from DTW to ERW on 10/05/01.
I commented on this experience several days ago on FR. Talk about racial profiling? I'm a 51 year old white Anglo-Saxon Presbyterian male, clean shaven face and short cropped balding hair; who travels with very light gear.I can put it this way, "I was racially profiled because I did not fit the Continental Airlines' of a terrorist.
If the trial lawyers start on this crap; I'll retire tomorrow and screw the airlines. Then Daschle and Gephardt can spin with their friends in the media.
I'm fed up with those who want to paralyze this country. So I guess I'll stick my head in the sand on my beach in NC and let the liberal "I feel your pain" Gen-Xrs work out their future.
That is all.

As legal counsel for the state, I'd demand the plaintiff's attorneys provide a definition of exactly what "race" is represented by Islam and what ethnicity exactly are Muslims? As per US official government racial classifications, "Arabs" are generally considered Caucasians, just like North Africans and Asian Indians are for example. They wouldn't succeed on racial grounds, so they'll probably try religious discriminatory ones instead. Of course this is moot in wartime and/or legal or Presidential declaration for national security concerns and has substantial historical precedent. If the plaintiffs aren't citizens or legal residents, their status is even weaker. Besides, the burden will be incumbent upon the plaintiffs to show where in the law profiling is illegal when it has existed for a long time as a legal tool for law enforcement agencies, especially federal bureaus like the FBI.

"To kill Americans and their allies, civilians, and military is an individual duty for every Muslim who can do it in any country in which it is possible to do it." -- Osama bin Laden, Feb. 23, 1998
..."The fear of further and deadlier attacks on the U.S. mainland, coupled with disturbing reports of terror co-conspirators in this nation just waiting for orders to strike, has understandably caused America the ultimate land of religious tolerance to scrutinize closely, for the first time, all things Islamic."

Perhaps the DOJ should put the courts and judges on notice, do not take these cases as 'you' will be aiding and abetting the enemy.

Radical Muslims. Trial Lawyers.
Well, at least we've got the enemy bunched together and suitably identified!
