You must be a cat lover

Wish people were half as good as the dogs think we are...

This was for dog lovers - don't read it if you don't like them.

Thanks for the pic. My significant canine is at this moment resting on my shoulders, wrapped almost around my neck. What would we do without 'em?

Its a sad story that's all - no one is saying this dog is more important than any other dog. And no one mentioned anthing about babies. What the heck do babies have to do with this story? But when a dog tries to go into danger to save his master that is wonderful thing. Lighten up! :-)

Of course, some here believe the dog's life isn't worth more than any other piece of property, even though most pieces of property wouldn't go into save a man's life.

Hell I must be nuts I thought this was a doggie story - not about human beings. OH THERE THAT'S BETTER (banging my head on the keyboard helped)!! ;-)

Well you got me there. I can't argue with that. But I still don't know how I got into this kind of conversation from an article about a dog. :-)

Cats make good chop suey, too. How do you get your cats to cook? Mine insists that I feed her canned cat food.

To All:
Here's another dog story. Better stock up on tissues for this one, too.
In between the World Wars, there was a Japanese man who had a young Akita pup. Their custom was to walk to the Shibuya train station in the morning, where Hachiko would wait for his master to arrive back in the evenings.
One day, his master died at work, and didn't come home.
Hachiko returned every day to wait there for the ten years between his master's death, and his own.
The story
I've been there. And yes, I cried there. There is, indeed, nothing like a dog's love for its master.
Best regards to all,

Thanks for posting that wonderful story! (Can't read it without crying though.) I remember reading it a few years ago, and actually thought of it as I was reading the article at the top of the thread.
