Funny, the list doesn't mention the partridge-in-a-pear-tree I'm certain you'd need as well....
Sheesh. Glad I don't live in New Jersey; though I don't own a gun most of the people I spend time with do. It makes me feel nice and safe. Why exactly would anyone want to live in that state?

Criminals, on the other hand, buy all the guns they want Can you just register as a criminal?
It would save alot of time.

Oh yeah.... and these:
10. Your great-grandmother's maiden name
11. Two (2) certificates of "bullet" knowledge
12. A lock for your firearm
13. A lockable case to put your firearm in
14. A lockable cabinet to put your locked firearm in it's
lockable case, inside.
15. A lock box for the key to your locked gun that's inside
the locked case, inside the locked cabinet.
16. A securely locked area in which to keep your lock box
holding the key to your locked firearm, that's inside the
locked box, inside the locked case.
17..........
(what was that amendment again?)

Similar laws as New York. I recommend all Jersey gun owners move to Pennsylvania, if you are still in commuting distance. Penn has right to carry and no registration.

"Shall Not Be Infringed" has a ring to it...kinda sounds like a thud in NJ. How come some injured parties in NJ have not taken up the challenge and moved this to Federal Court where we could get the USSC to review the issue....
and "AIR GUNS"?!....geezee the injured party could be my kid.

Yeah....it's just great living here! And I'm even getting a $.02 discount on EZ Pass on the Parkway now....the generosity overwhelms me.

The recent NJ elections show that this is exactly what the people of NJ want! It will probably be the second state (after Nazifornia) to be occupied by enemy troops. Small loss!

Here the rules are:
Private sale: no rules
Gun show: 1) pay Sheriff $5 for background check, 2) Sheriff does instant on-line background check, 3) if background check okay, you give Sheriff another $5 for permit, 4) Sheriff gives you permit to buy gun. Total cost, $10; total time, 5 minutes. Then, you can be the proud owner of a good tool for doing "social work".

NJ residents don't need guns-they use their vehicles as weapons!
To: genefromjersey
The thing you forgot was after doing all of the things you mentioned it can still take 3 months before you actually get the permit. When they came out with those Brady laws, I laughed, NJ is far stricter by a longshot. Gun owners in Jersey would take an instantaneous background check in a heartbeat. Alot depends on the local sheriff also, they can get it done fast or they can let the application sit in a pile for a month before they do anything. Which is kind of scary.

That's outrageous! Why don't you move to Texas. We're still a FREE state!!

The
Courier News this past Sunday had a very good article on the rise in gun permit ID requests in central New Jersey. Unfortunately their archive is down or I would post the article.

That's why I was hoping for a Shundler victory.
