Did leftist politics kill "The Norm Show"?

Am I the only one to notice that Norm McDonalds "The Norm Show" is not back on ABC tv for the fall lineup? It was a hit show last year, and had been renewed. It was written by and starred Norm McDonald from Saturday Night Live, and he played the part of a hockey player sentenced to community service work with a bunch of social workers.

Everything I remember about the show is that it was very funny, and that it was a prime-time hit. Norm was really on his way to the top,UNTIL he appeard on BaBa WaWa's show,"The View". To refresh your memories, this was right before the presidential elections, and Norm really blasted Bubba bin Bombing, even going so far as to call him a murderer and a rapist. He also stated "George Bush is a good man",and told everybody that he is a Republican.

BaBa and the other airhead bimbo's there were horrified, especially little Star Jones. BaBa tried to get him to take it back, but Norm sorta faked a apology, and then said something like "Ok,ok. He is a ALLEGED rapist and murderer, but we all know he did it. Is that any better?"

Oddly enough,Norm hasn't been seen or heard from since, despite having a hit show for ABC. I KNOW his show had been renewed,so I am assuming ABC just paid out his contract and told him to stay home.

Do any of you know anything about this? Were announcments made and I just missed them,or is ABC trying to slip this bit of political manuevering under the carpet?

Ohlmeyer said Norm wasn't funny and that's why he was fired, but how would he know? He's never sober enough to watch TV.

I would like to see someone go on those shows sometime complete with charts and all sorts of things to back up their claims about Clinton...when you say something, you need to be prepared because you will get slapped silly just by saying he did it. I have no doubt clinton did kill at least one person, but most Americans can't see it.

Yeah -- can you imagine McDonald going on the View with a pie chart of all Bubba's victims?

Know what you mean though -- Libs are in TOTAL denial about their "hero."

never saw his show... but think Norm kills -

Espy awards:
congratulating Heisman trophy winner: "hey you earned it and nobody can take that away from you.... unless you kill your ex-wife and a waiter and then all bets are off"
on Dallas Cowboys [I think]: "the coach said he'd return the team to the formula that made them great.... hookers and crack!"
[paraphrased - couldn't find exact quotes, but picturing Norm's delivey helps]

we won't even get into his "I'm proud of my gay son" routine

According to one Norm MacDonald fan site, Adam Sandler's production company is creating a new show for Norm. The old one is gone forever.

Thanks. It never occured to me to check a fan site. I didn't even know he had one. The fact remains that his old show was a hit,and that it was renewed. I'm sure publicising the show was the reason ABC put him on The View.

BTW,WHY in the world would they call that show "The View"? ALL of those leftist dingbats are as blind as bats politically. Meredith Veira (sp) is the closest thing they have to somebody with a actual IQ point, and she is married to a rabid leftist. BaBa WaWa is living proof that "it ain't who you know,it's who you blow".

I don't watch women's porn. A few times I have seen clips from "The View" on "Talk Soup." Egads, what a lack of decorum and taste. Nothing about the butch stars of that show would suprise me. Isn't "Star" a rather pompous name? I only know about that "Star" from the show.

OJ butt-boy and drinking buddy Don Ohlmeyer got pissed that Norm was on OJ's case and had him aced from SNL.

Yup,I remember that. Norm just doesn't play well with leftist children. He had been warned by Ohlmeyer to lay-off OJ,but refused.

Norm was cancelled. The show's ratings were in the tank.

That's odd. His show had been described as a "hit",and it had been renewed. It is possible ABC moved him into some "never-never land" where his ratings were bound to take a dump so they would have a excuse to get rid of him,but this happened AFTER his appearance on The View.

If anyone can get the email or snailmail address of Matt Rousch (sp?) at TV Guide, he would know. He knows all the dirt. The problem is getting him to respond.

In this, as in so many things, Clinton emulated his idols, the Kennedies.

Did Wawa have that much pull to have Norm knocked off the air? Who knows.

BaBa didn't have anything to do with it,she was just in a panic that it might rub off on her. She still likes to pretend she is a actual reporter who is unbiased. Her and Hay-Raldo,both.

As an aside, by chance I once met a female "producer" of the show 'The View' -- the word was Starr Jones not only reeked of BO, but is an obnoxious Prima Donna.

No surprise here, since she describes herself that way. Her actual words are "I'm a Diva",but it's the same thing. Her only talent is being black and kissing celeberty ass. She's as dumb as a pet rock.

"That's Strap On Tools. "

Why? Have you seen her equipment? Do you know for a fact that she can't use a Snap-On?

"Egads, what a lack of decorum and taste..."

Seems to me the few time I've watched 'The View', the gals have almost needed to be hosed down after some male guests have visited.

BTW, Star herself would be "pompous" without the pretentious name. With an ego as big as her fat rear end, we might surmise she changed it from Janet or Wanda to "Star."

Norm may have been a Republican, but he was also a huge drunk. There was never a ton of stuff in the press about it, but over the past few years he had several public appearances where he was noticeably wasted. If you show up to tapings like that, you're going to get fired. Too bad...I thought he was pretty funny.

2.12.01 - Nikki Cox (Taylor) and comedian Bobcat Goldthwait are engaged to be married. The unlikely couple met on the set of the now-defunct WB comedy Unhappily Ever After. "I had a mad crush on him and told him so," Cox says in Gear's March issue.

This was on the tv guide web site you posted. Is it some kind of sick joke? How could this be possible?

BTW,that web site also said Norm's show had been renewed. It also said the new show would be him and Jon Lovitz. Lovitz is a SERIOUS leftist whiner sleezeball.

Heh -- you're right. Baba was afraid "Bubba-basher" Norm McDonald's performance might trickle down to the Liar-In-Chief himself and perhaps kill any chance at something like an exclusive interview with this so-called "reporter".

Oh -- Star Jones?? Ugh -- what can we say about this farm animal masquarading as an actual human being?

Hmmm,I didn't know that. You are right, though. If you keep showing up drunk, you will end up getting canned.
