Texan through and through, huh? Born in Connecticut to two yankee parents and educated in New England makes him less than what you describe. He hasn't read the Bill of Rights, only commentary on it written by Laurence Tribes.

I was born on Guam, and I've moved at least once every two years for almost all of my 36 years. It has taken me 5 years of living in Oklahoma to begin to appreciate it enough to call it home. Yeah, I guess I'm an Oklahoman.
George W. Bush is far more Texan through and through than I am Oklahoman. More fundamentally, he is an American, and that characteristic can only be strengthened by having ties to more than one of the Union's great States.
