Here are three earlier threads on Rep. Issa, the first is especially interesting:

Rep. Darrell Issa Says Hezbollah is Legitimate and Never Been Involved with Terrorist Activities (Nov. 19)

”Arab-American Congressman: Hizbollah Legitimate”

TEHRAN TIMES INTL. DESK

TEHRAN A U.S. Congressman was quoted on Sunday as saying that he believed that the Lebanese resistance Hizbollah acts legitimately and has never been involved in terrorist activities.

The official Iranian news agency, IRNA, quoted Republican Darrell Issa in Damascus as saying that Hizbollah and any other Lebanese group has the right to resist the occupation of its territory, in line with United Nations resolutions.

He was further quoted as saying that Hizbollah's humanitarian and governmental actions were legal and that such behavior would be customary in any country.

Issa is heading a four-member U.S. Congress delegation that is currently visiting the Middle East. They left Syria for Lebanon on Sunday on the second leg of the tour that aims to discuss the Middle East peace process and the U.S.-led war on terrorism. The U.S. Congressmen began their five-hour stay in Lebanon by meeting with the country's Deputy Prime Minister, Issam Fares. Republicans Darrell Issa (California), John Cooksey (Louisiana), Brian Kerns (Indiana), and Democrat Nick Rahall (West Virginia) were later due to meet President, Emile Lahoud, and Prime Minister, Rafiq Hariri.

While in Syria, the group met with President Bashar al- Assad
