It does get run into the ground to the point that it is not funny or clever any more, but (obviously) some people don't seem to get tired of it. I guess it is just one of those things you live with - kind of like all the variations of "All Your Bases Are Belong To Us" that show up on every thread. After a while it gets pretty predictable and old. I guess even if I get tired of it though, others may get a kick out of it, so be it.
In all fairness, some newbies may still be diggin' the moose, and cheese, and virgins, thing. Well-timed and well-placed, they can still be humorous. So -- I suppose I am of the opinion that one should laugh when the funny bone is struck, and move on when the moose just hits the floor in a heap, and misses one's humerus entirely. "N'est-ce pas?"
If you're not hungry, don't partake of the cheese. Or the moose. Or anything else, for that matter. ;-o
