    JERUSALEM  (AP)--A powerful explosion went off late Saturday in a
crowded pedestrian mall in downtown  Jerusalem , and radio reports said
at least eight people were wounded.   

The blast went off just before midnight Saturday on the Ben-Yehuda pedestrian mall.
