This kind of thing has been going on a lot in Orlando lately.
I'd like to see how these people would feel after this loser burglarized their homes. They'd probably whine about that too.

Maybe it was the FIRESTONE tires that caused the cruiser to go awry...

I don't see what all the fuss is about. Cops drive across lawns all the time, especially in prosperous white neighborhoods. I mean, it's not like there'd be kids playing there, or on a basketball court, ferchrissakes!
Buncha whiners!

"We are all human." That's one way of looking at the world of crime.

Deputy doesn't seem to be in the ten but he caught a fleeing criminal by using reasonable force. He wasn' just chasing someone for the fun of it.

This almost sounds like "The Copper Clapper Caper".

Capers as he was standing outside Kissimmee Homes in McLaren CircleMcLaren Circle is the crack cocaine mecca of Kissimmee. If its illegal, its @ Mclaren Circle.

It is cops like this one that cause such perceived citizen/police problems. This cop was not the sharpest tool in the shed. He was and is a personnel problem that should have been dismissed long ago. Mamma should have gone with her son to the police station the instant she knew there was a warrant out for his arrest and peacefully presented him. Sounds like a dumb bunch all around. The funny part is that the government provides both parties with their paychecks.

That's right...Any Cop has the right to cross your lawn, hit anyone in the back of the head and put anyone else in harm's way just because they are cops...just get out of the way of the cops and what would you have?????? Not America, for sure....being "accused" of certain crimes doesn't make him guilty...
Have a trial, if he is guilty put him away for a long time......I'm a middle aged white male and I've been stopped by rookie cops, and hot head experienced cops...they all apoligized for being wrong...but that doesn't take away what it felt like with there 9mm pointing at me....
there have to be limits with cops..
To: Uglywhiteguy
there have to be limits with cops.. Well, dragging the scumbag to the police station behind the car would be a bit extreme, or cutting his arms and legs off with a chain saw, or pouring gasoline over him and burning him to death...but, failing that, if some felon steals my bike to run from the cops, I hope they run him down like a dog. Screw the bike- it would be worth it to me to see a criminal get hit.

When you get asked to give of your time to any community organization, please stay away from any policy steering function. Until you get in your car and run down Teddy Kennedy or Gary Condit, I would stick with toys for tots, adopt a highway, or planting trees in the local parks. Your ideas on application of law kind of scare me.

Roger that, dog! What's wrong with some of the folks around here? A cop driving on sidewalks and across lawns, and running down a suspect with the squad car? You think that's good policing? This guy sounds certifiable to me. He could have killed heaven knows how many people acting like that. Whatever the guy did, this is no way to apprehend a criminal.

Not to profile, but just something to think about:
Capers, 23 years old
His mother, 39 years old
Do the math. And he has a record? Surprise, surprise. as for the method used to apprehend him, I don't know. I would like to know if these people in the neighborhood want him off the street or if they are just upset with how the cops got him.
