fair response - which complicates things yet again - a family dispute between a Cuban citizen and American citizens over custody of a minor who is a foreign national in this country but not a citizen of this country in whose name asylum is being sought, but NOT by his first degree relative - boy arent we finding out that the Elian affair was no simplistic matter --- I need to go to bed, have to work ealy tomorrow - I have enjoyed the discussion and hope that you will allow me to retain the freedom to express my views in your forum, tho they obviosuly differ in many cases with your own. It's a matter for the courts, not the police. The child was in safe custody.
