Raid of two B-52 on Tora-Bora
TORA BORA (Afghanistan), 10 déc (AFP) - Two American bombers B-52 simultaneously rammed Monday towards 7H00 local (2H30 GMT), the mountainous zone of Tora Bora (is), den of group Al-Qaïda, Ossama Ben Laden, noted a journalist of the AFP.
The two heavy bombers, shifted approximately km, carried out a passage to the top of Tora Bora and released each one a series of bombs which exploded in a thunderous noise.
It was the first raid of B-52 of Monday.
Previously, during all the night of Sunday to Monday, of the raids of American hunters, probably of F-14 or the F-18, had followed one another.
At least ten attacks took place towards 6H00 local.
With 7H45 local, no terrestrial military activity was visible between the forces of Al-Qaïda and the Afghan troops local which besiege them in the mountain.
Following the repeated bombardments of the night and Monday morning, a plume of smoke extended on nearly 10 km on the chain to the White Mountains, in which Tora Bora is, to 30 km in the south of Jalalabad (is), chief town of the province of Nangarhar.
And, how fast is ramming speed?
Here it is in Jive...

An' dat ain't no jibbah-jabbah!
I guess extra-terrestrial activity must have been a problem. Move Zig, with great justice!
In French like in most European languages the word for fighter planes is literally "hunter." When you think about it, it makes sense.
But a machine can't sift the context to tell we are talking about jets and not some guys whose wives have a venison cookbook!
The story says that two B-25s simultaneously bombed the top of a hill at Tora Bora at 7 AM. It was the first B-52 raid of the day. (Reveille, Osama!) They were about 1000 meters interval from each other. This is after fighters clobbered the place all night long (the AFP writer is speculating about what kinds of fighters, but he can tell it wasn't a B-52 raid). At about six AM there were ten strikes.
(Two B-52's at once is almost 5% of our B-52 force. The crews might have been flying since midnight Afghan time. The B-52Hs that we use today were all built in 1961 and 1962 and the Air Force plans to fly them until around 2040. Most of the combat crews are ten or more years younger than the 52s they fly already!)

ROFLLLLLLLLLl
When they shift km, and carry out a passage, the release of one a series of thunderous noise is truly awesome to behold.
When our hunters attack all the night, and no terrestrial activity is visible, that is when we are at our best: Beseiging them in the mountain.
Sorry, don't know. I can see now that I shouldn't have taken that 7:30pm to 9:30pm nap. Wide awake now. lol.
Whether OBL is there or not, SOMETHING must be in Tora Bora worth all these bombing attacks, don't you think?
