FBI alleging that members of the JDL had planned to bomb a mosque in Culver City (L.A.) and the office of Congressman Darrell Issa (who is of Lebanese ancestry).
Well, of course they denied it!
So would the US or any other country if in a similar position.
I wonder if the news media will make a big deal of this, I think they should.
Can you imagine what a big deal it would be if the Christian Coalition or the Moral Majority planned to bomb a synagogue. The JDL presents itself as a legitimate organization even while they try to tell us that christians and conservatives are potential terrorists and then they themselves are terrorists according to the FBI.
FYI, JDL is representing the American POW's from WWII who were imprisioned and tortured by the Japanese. Many were tortured to DEATH. JDL is representing their families!

It was in the papers for weeks. Those guys did hard time, I think - not the slap on the wrist they would have gotten if it had been a stink bomb.

Here, here! I'm tired of pussyfooting around the idea that Jewish Americans and/or Israelis simply couldn't be terrorists. That's just as ridiculous a notion as saying black people can't be racists.
If Rep. Issa has committed any crimes he should be investigated, arrested and charged. Bombing his office is no way to make any kind of "political" statement--it is barbaric, and we are not going to give in to barbarity, no matter who tries to deal it out. Bombing his office is an act of war against the United States, as he is an elected official representative of the United States. I would say the same thing about any of them, no matter what elected official it is. Bombing a mosque is a horrendous act in itself. Terrorism is wrong whenever Hamas does it and it's just as wrong when so-called Jewish militants do it, too. We've got enough to worry about with Arab terrorists without the JDL getting into the act, too.
I think you've got the ADL and the JDL backwards.

The JDL today is under the dynamic leadership of Irv Rubin, a longtime associate of the late Rabbi Kahane and has its international headquarters in Los Angeles, California. There is no issue facing the Jewish people today that the JDL won't tackle and unlike the so called "respectable" Jewish establishment organizations the JDL doesn't form commitees and study what needs to be done for years on end, thus wasting precious time and accomplishing absolutely nothing! The JDL takes concrete action to solve Jewish problems.
