PETA wants Cows, Chickens, Turkeys, Hogs To Become Extinct

How many of each would be left if PETA has it's way? Who would feed and raise them if they were worthless? Be careful what you ask (or demand) for.

I guess 'ethical treatment' is all that's important. Losing the species is ok with them. How can you 'ethically' treat an animal you're about to eat? <non-human

To admit that these animals are cared for only because they offer some sort of tangible benefit to the owner, would be to admit the power of capitalism, something the Marxists at PETA will never do.

My wife argues against my vegetarianism thus: we have an unspoken compact with domestic food species. The species as a whole benefits from our support, while individuals die. Animals care not a whit about individuals, and all come out well in the end. A clever woman, my wife. The Kid.
