I don't have much to offer in terms of advise, but I do have a prayer. I may have freep mailed it to you before, but I can't remember.

In this pain and sadness that weighs me down and for which I can find no human support, I turn to you Jesus to be my friend and protector, and intercede for me to our Merciful Father in Heaven. Ask that I may welcome whatever God sends for love of Him Who makes all things a means of holiness.

I love my son. It pains me to know I cannot give him the Christmas he deserves as a child.

You know what your son will remember about Christmas?....It's not the stuff, it's spending time with his dad.

I hardly remember anything I got for a Christmas present as a kid. We didn't have much money, but we had TONS of tradition and memories. Give your son the memory of YOU!.

Theres a Paul St John in Brisbane Australia too who's a herbalist,acupuncturist and massage practicioner who also is very good, after throwing thousands away after putting out my left sacro-illiac joint and setting my sciatic nerve off,at chiropractors,physios etc he was my last hope,it only took 3 treatments-so there may be something in that name.We all have crosses to bear I too have an illness which like now when it flares up can decommission me for a period it too is of a mental/nervous/hardwiring type for which I recommend eastern not western medicine.Tai chi AND qigong exersizes really do help as well.Explore these because once learnt you can do them anywhere with no special equipment.I think its not a case of how hard life belts you its how you get up,I never had a ten second(thats a beast dude)animal but I did manage to get my 360 Chrysler wrapped 8ft up a telegraph pole luckily we're right hand drive here,everything happens for a reason at the moment Im broke I have an arrangement where my job gives me the time off I need and the insurance company 'pays' my salary,usually 8-9 weeks after I claim and I've been broke for a month- under threat from solicitors.

Everything happens for a reason in both our cases Im sure its to make us mentally tougher for some future challenge,there's much I recognise in your speel,in the meantime you have an exceptional opportunity to develop your son into the best man he can be and to be your best friend at a latter date,like my father is-adversity makes some things that can't be destroyed,merry christmas.

A very wise elderly physician I know says his favorite word is 'serendipity'. When you look back through your life (from any age) you will find a person whose path intersected yours at exactly the right time.
