My side? I am an American.
The sympathies of you and your crowd give conservatism a bad name.
That may be because I am a liberal and not a conservative. Shimon Peres is needed at the helm. Not Sharon. Facts are facts. Israelis will never have peace until the land is returned.
Do I doubt the Palestinians will live up to their side of the bargain? Of course I do. But it will improve the situation. Would you rather have constant killing or just your run of the mill thuggery?
I guess you got me on that one. So go ahead and give Liberalism a bad name.
"Do I doubt the Palestinians will live up to their side of the bargain? Of course I do. But it will improve the situation. Would you rather have constant killing or just your run of the mill thuggery?"
If you're arguing pragmatism instead of justice & morality, I still claim that Israel would be totally foolish to give up land ahead of a demonstration by Palestinian Arab society that it truly accepts Israel's right to exist.
If you're arguing justice &/or morality, forget it - Palestinian Arab society has forfeited any claim on Israel. Their gripe should be with the Arab countries that put them (and Israel) in this mess.
That explains everything. No need to respond. Now I understand your position completely.
