O'Reilly is out to crush CNN. A little harmless Bush baiting will give him a few more percentage points--from their audience. Where he annoys me is when he tries to get the greenies by going after SUV's.

It was odd for him to demand Jeb sic Florida cops on what is clearly an FBI,CIA,INS and NSA matter.

Larry, Re your post #11 - I agree with you. I was sympathetic with O'Reilly when he initially claimed he could not get a response out of the governor's office, although I don't believe that's characteristic of that office. And, Gov. Bush did make a statement, later. I do wish Gov. Bush had said something earlier, but he finally said something, so that was good (he said he could not fire the professor by law, he did not want to comment on any potentially on-going investigation, and the FDL does not report to him).

But, now that the professor HAS been fired, I think the governor's office is out of it and O'Reilly should lay off Gov. Bush with this matter.

In the hours since the Board of Trustees adjourned this morning, I have reviewed Mr. Gonzalez's report in light of concerns raised by trustees. I have discussed these issues with the Provost, Vice Presidents and Deans of the University, Distinguished Professors, the President of the United Faculty of Florida, legislators, the Florida Board of Education, students, staff, alumni, community leaders and other supporters of our institution.

Larry, schmarry. Judy Lied. How the heck did she get an understanding of the concerns of all those groups in "hours"? The only reason that professor is gone is that Judy sensed that it was either him or both him and her. She was watching the butter on her own bread.
