Singapore is the one place which gun control advocates point to as the perfect example of how effective gun control can be.
I lived there for three years, and they're absolutely correct.
You can go anywhere in Singapore at any hour of the day or night and not experience the fear of being robbed or molested in any way.
The penalties for possessing firearms or even ammunition for firearms are severe.

These austere measures would not work any place else on earth.
Singapore is a very small island dependent almost entirely on the tourist trade for it's very survival.
Safety and security for the tourists is the number one priority for an essentially dictator style government.
The people are predominately a mixed Chinese heritage who value security much more than individual human rights.

blanket disarmament is a recipe for disaster that destabilises a nation. The gun grabbers in congress should be ashamed of themselves to conspire to destroy the US economicaly and legaly. If anyone should be disarmed it is those gun grabbers and their criminal advocates.

I was involved for a number of years with an heiress to the Desnoes and Geddes fortune in Jamaica (Red Stripe, bottling , etc). She was of the blonde blue-eyed Jamaican variety as well. Her family had fled to Jamaica 200 years ago after the great Slave revolt in Haiti. After the Brits left and then Manley and his disastrous policies including virtual gun abolition for law-abiding folks, the country has been in a de facto slide since. There are pockets of prosperity around some of the tourist enclaves but most of the Island is desperately poor and can be quite violent. Illegal weapons including many full auto versions are everywhere in the hands of gangs. The police are impotent and corrupt. The military is only slightly better. The middle and upper classes of all races and ethnicity live in fear to some degree.

Jamaica needs a benevolent dictator and massive infrastructure rebuilding. It is only by the grace of God and the fact that they were colonized by the Brits that Jamaica doesn't suffer the level of depravity of Haiti. Shame...it's without a doubt the most varied and beautiful of all the Leewards.

A friend of mine ( who is far beyond the reach of earthly law; that's why I will tell of this now ) lived in the Bahamas years ago, and made a game of seeing how many muzzle-loading black powder guns he could smuggle in disguised as various common implements, like a diver's spear gun.

I said .... "unsolicited spam deserves a frying pan."....

You asked .... Are you saying that this article is 'spam'???....

Yes I am.

I think that when you or Hail Caesar or E.S.A must die or anyone else send unsolicited flags to folks you should at least offer them the opportunity to opt off of your lists. If you don't, whatever you send is spam, no matter the subject.

As I asked you last night on a different thread ..... as a result of getting unsolicited flags from you ....please take me off your mailing list.

Yea...I would NORMALLY agree that 'Constitutional Patriot' is better....

But since the Government is looking at the words 'Constitution'...and 'terrorist' in the same light...thought I'd save them some trouble.

I'm guilty...I BELIEVE in the Constitution...and will defend it to the best of my ability..against all enemies...even the domestic ones.
