We and other countries have seismic equipment that is capable of detecting a nuclear detonation anywhere in the world. That is why ore-mining companies in Wyoming use a string of smaller explosives instead of one huge one.
I find this story highly suspect.

I'm in agreement with you on this one.

Whatever your feelings on this story and news of Saddam Hussein in getting or having nuclear weapons, you had better quit laughing it off and the U.S. gov't had better too. We were caught off guard when(India, right?) tested nukes and it wouldn't be suprising if Saddam/Iraq's got some with the Russian black market and all. I wouldn't rule out China for that matter. *%(# China. We had better go after him now because there is no doubt that Iraqi beast is trouble in the forseeable future and pushing the problem aside will not help us in the long run. NOW is the time to act.

I find this story highly suspect. Suspect? It's nonsense.
NO NATION has EVER tested a nuclear weapon that the U.S. hasn't known about.

I doubt they could light one off without us knowing.
Was it "the mother of all tests"? LOL
