I swore that I wouldn't come back to this thread or ever drop by a religion thread again after this one. What is not being conveyed here is the concept of faith. You are talking about evidence and proof - like doubting Thomas. We believe what we believe "by faith" and do not need to measure anything in a physical way. Don't you believe that you have a mind, body and a soul? Your soul is where your faith lives and it is very fulfilling for me to be a Christian. I don't have to convince anybody of anything but I can I live my life in such a way that I love my neighbor and you have certainly heard the phrase "What would Jesus do?" People who stop and think this phrase before they act, do good things, not bad.
If you don't understand faith, that's okay. I will pray for you tonight that if you ever face serious problems and need to have faith to get you through and to set you free, you will find it there. That is the miracle of faith.
Finally, I'm glad I don't take any of this too seriously because I have already been called a witch on this thread and conversely, you will probably blast me for being a Christian. Merry Christmas to all and don't forget to buy your Enduring Freedom (baseball) cards for Stocking Stuffers.
It seems to me, that someone with ESP, who knowingly comes onto a 'religious' thread, would be able to at least get a small clue that his/her statement would provoke controversy.
It appears that this gift, power, curse or whatever you wish to call it, is not very reliable.
