Why would Euripides make his quotations in Latin? Was he not a Greek?

I think you are right. I am not a Greek scholar and therefore only know the phrase, not its author.

I was quoting the Latin translation. I don't know what it is in Greek and would certainly have a harder time memorizing it since they don't use our alphabet!
