"Regarding Dr. Francis and VDARE..." What's that term for someone who uses overly solicitous terminology in an attempt to paint a pretty face on something generally recognized as ugly?

Actually, I don't have a problem saying "Dr. Francis," as he has earned that honorific. I didn't realize he was a PhD.
