You're catching on. I support Israel. I don't support everything they do, just as I don't support everything America or any other country does. However, to say anything desparaging about Israeli policy here is to be forever condemned as a Jew-hater. You'll notice that French-bashing is fashionable here (although they are also our allies) and you can say something negative about every ally we have from Great Britain to Australia and you're still considered an American. But disagree with Israel about one thing and you're automatically cast as an anti-Semitic, anti-American, terrorist loving stooge.

Excellent observation...there's a rule I like to use: you can determine the true rulers of a society (or any subdivision thereof) by asking who it is you aren't allowed to criticize.

That is bull. I have criticized Israeli policy on occasion, and no one has suggested that. I just did regarding preventing Arafat from going to Bethlehem. It is the content my dear that counts, and the context.
