Great editorial - too bad they didn't see him for what he was in 92! It was clear to me he was a shameless phony! Keyword here is PHONY! One didn't have to scratch very low to see what kind of character this man had in 92. I'm still angry and amazed that he was even elected the first time, much less the 2nd time. This paper probably endorsed him for both elections! Their little blurb of an excuse is nothing more than covering their butts. EVERYONE knew Clinton had NO CHARACTER in 92 - it was an issue that the media and Democrats dismissed!

This paper probably endorsed him for both elections! No doubt. They rarely miss an opportunity to endorse a dim, no matter how corrupt or unqualified.

You said, "I'm still angry and amazed that he was even elected the first time.." Me too, but at least the world is beginning to acknowledge that Clinton should not have been elected in 92,and wouldn't have been, if the media hadn't eagerly bought into Carville's spinning crap.

Great editorial - too bad they didn't see him for what he was in 92! They still don't see him for what he is. Hell, they STILL think Jimmah was a good president! Nope, the only reason they made this mild rebuke is because Norfolk is a Navy town, and there is a semi-war going on. They have to at least pretend to be patriotic to keep from losing subscribers.
BTW,I was living in that area when the debate about the so-called "Assault Weapons Ban" was going on. Some friends and I tried to rent ad space in the Virginian-Pilot to show the lies being told, and the Virginian-Pilot refused to rent us the space.

"too bad they didn't see him for what he was in 92! It was clear to me he was a shameless phony! Keyword here is PHONY!" Go to Yahoo and do a search on the "Clinton Chronicles" It is a Video that foretold what we were getting into if he was elected to office in 92!
