Democrats, in the name of tolerance, plan to demonize conservative Christians as being like the Taliban, according to an article in Newsweek.

Democrats "are planning a daring assault on the most critical turf in politics: the cultural mainstream," political correspondent Howard Fineman writes.

What I have tried to convey to you is that *you* are intolerant and that *you* use your Christianity to sit in judgment of others' Christianity.

I am a Christian, and most of the people who have reacted to your self righteous remarks have identified themselves as Christians also.

I always find it interesting that people think that their particular brand of judgment as superior and righteous..but see any position that varies with theirs as an insult.. I would suggest you first reread what you wrote and tell me it does not drip with YOUR brand of judgment. (which of course we all know is righteous and holy)

Actually I usually post scripture and that seems to brand me especially intolerable.

Luke 6:22Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake

Many of the morons here on Freerepublic.com have tried to equate real Christians with the Taliban i.e. "Talibornagain".

I coined that word. I have been threatened with banning should I ever use it again.

I am a Christian. I am a Conservative Republican. I am not a moron.

Speaking of which, aren't you one of them that was claiming 9/11 was God's judgement on an eeeeeevil America?

Because you post it for self-aggrandizement with an extraordinary lack of understanding.

Like a parrot rasping "Good Bird, Good Bird." incessantly.

No I didn't judge your Chritianity. I commented on your behavior, but I told you that I give you the benefit of the doubt as to your Christianity. That's what I and several others have been trying to get across to you. You take it so far as to proclaim who is a Christian and who is not.

The word "judge," when used in the context of this conversation, means to judge whether or not one is a Christian, to read one's heart. Neither you nor I are capable or authorized by God to do that.

Bad behavior doesn't necessarily mean that a person is not a Christian. In fact, all human beings behave badly sometimes. That was the whole point of the cross.

Now, it's abundantly clear to me that you have no intention of taking stock of your actions, so I don't care to continue the bickering with you.

Bye.

Watch out hotclassygreeneyedblonde.... Carol Hutex may be "on to you"... you and your new age religious postings... hee hee....

Actually, I suspect it's your picture that ticks folks off. Nice, very nice. Attractive ladies however, have a tendency to make the ones who are ugly on the inside, quite ill, mentally. I wondered how long it would be till some of our now famous "holier than thou, because I am truly repulsive on the inside" crowd would "discover" your home page picture. (which is tasteful and ... er uh, nice)

Most extremist conservative christians believe several tenets for women:
-get saved, get ugly. (for women)
-get married, get FAT and ugly. (for women)
-get saved or married as a woman and STOP wearing anything that was sexually attractive to men before you were either saved or married. (for women) Where the hell does the good book say get saved or married and you gotta be ugly??? ugliness is godliness???
-Morality for some conservative women... means sexually repulsive.
-Talibanists believe that an attractive woman EQUALS immorality... hence the christian taliban would like to dress all women in their version of a burqua... cover whatever assets you have
- Mens rules are only slightly different
-get married or saved for men... get fat, ugly and also blind... and don't stay out late.
-get married or saved for men, means lie about the beauty of any other women in your proximity, lie about: the joy of sex, and alcohol, as well as the proper role of violence in war, sports or at work.
-Beer is bad.
-Dancing is bad.
-Music is often also bad. Joy is sin.
-Pleasure is misery... and a whole host of other pseudo religous perversions of reality.... all in the name of God almighty, of course... I think its blasphemy.

There are more cliche/rules that go with the conservative movement... but your picture violates the basics... woe is you... heh heh. You go girl!

You COULD try posting a picture of some deformed creature from a horror show... That might make em happier, but I doubt it, the jealousy may have already kicked in.
PS:They hate ann coulter pictures too. "she doesn't have to wear her skirts so provocatively, now does she?"

LOL.

But Catholic bashing is a blood sport.

It's not personal, on this site for YEARS, it has been allowed to attack any philosophy or ideology with as much visciousness as one can muster. FreeRepublic has NO sacred cows. Attacking your faith is not attacking YOU PERSONALLY... although to the devout, it is always classified as such.

Much as there are GREAT catholic folks out there, there are aspects of their faith that are ridiculous on their face. MOST catholics don't swallow them hook line and sinker.. and therefore, they are ripe for exposure, refutation and ridicule... for being whack.

Since when did conservatism embrace the denial of visible facts and reality. Liberalism may embrace hallucinations of the drug induced insanos... why would a true conservative want to?

Extremist Catholics are actually religious conservatives... not true political conservatives... across the broad slate of issues. When it comes to socialism... they openly embrace their brand of religious socialism wherein their religious and moral convictions are codified into laws and enforced on others... at taxpayer expense... hardly a conservative in the purest sense of the word.

It's not bashing, it's folks trying to point out where socialistic catholicism in our political life leads. It FEELS like bashing to some because the social tenets of catholicism are so deeply ingrained into the minds of its followers. Some say, that level of inculcation, is equivalent to being a cult... just like the taliban.

I'm using the occasion of your post to bump this important thread and to say that I concur with door no.2. Wouldn't have agreed 3 or 4 years ago but perceive an irrational sense of desperation among the dims these days.

So many of them are filled with rage and hatred, including voters and politicians, that I am truly puzzled by their behavior. Guess they miss their Clinton Kool-Aid.

Comparing the religious Christian right to the Taliban simply won't pass the suspension of disbelief test with most Americans

Oh? Look at how many were led to think Bush was a conservative...

Never underestimate the idiocy of the sheeple.

Bush marketed himself as a moderate conservative, and guess what, he IS a moderate conservative, given any reasonable and widely accepted definition of the term. What you saw is what you got, almost to a tee. That is why I like him, because guess what, I am a moderate conservative. LOL. Get used to it.

>Democrats Plan To Demonize Christians

This business of mixing large scale terrorism, politics, religion and social activism, I discovered, goes back very far in history.

In Britain, there is a thing called "Guy Fawkes" day. This refers to a "terrorist" incident in Britain in 1605 (!) when a bunch of Catholics attempted to use gunpowder to blow up Parliament when ALL the Royals and Lords were in attendance. The social fallout in the aftermath was VERY similar to the social fallout of 9/11. And the way the Crown EXPLOITED the event was incredible. (I just put up a brief thread on the topic here: The Gunpowder Treason)

Good analysis. Although healing is an overused word in today's culture, most of us are just beginning to heal after 8 years plus 1 day of terror.

If the dims proceed with this foolish plan, it will produce consequenes that they never dreamed of.

It isn't just the Democrats. There are any of a number of supposedly conservative posters here at FR who routinely refer to conservative Christians as "the American Taliban." It is almost always over the conservative Christian refusal to tolerate or celebrate homosexual behavior. Such smear tactics have a long history. The pagan sodmoite Roman Emperor Nero used them, labelling Christians "enemies of mankind." It's a badge of honor to be smeared in this fashion for remaining faithful to one's beliefs. Given the pro-sodomy mob zeal and fire that Hollywood, liberal Democrats, and atheist "anything goes" libertarians have spread throughout American culture, this could again be a successful tactic. It will be interesting to see how Bush responds to it.

The onslaught continues.

I do not think he will appear on TV to tell America that " Chrisitanity is peace"

FR was the trial ground..they found out their are christian haters in the Right ..so off they go see this

If you coined the term...[which you didnt]...Then you are indeed a moron.

No...I did not blame America for 9/11.

You can "call" yourself a Christian all day long but that is of little consequence to me or the Lord.

Matthew 7;22 Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord [They profess that Jesus is Lord], did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?'

23 Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew [had an ongoing intimate relationship with] you. Away from me, you who work iniquity [The greek word there is anomia;the law unto yourself]!'

If this plan is for real, it won't get any support from this life-long Democrat.
Democrats need to change the way they govern, - big time!
