1. 'belligerence' is subjective, and has been disputed by the agent's lawyers. So we can put that to one side.

2. an SS agent of course carries a gun. Irrelevant point.

3. what this really boils down to is this paperwork. IF this is NOT some tiny technicality which was exploited by the pilot, then let American release the forms, redacted where security concerns are present. Then we can all get back to discussing Lord of the Rings and Britney.
