Wonderful. Thank you, Byron, for posting this. What the writer understands, and expresses very well, is the belief that some cultures have values that are incompatible with Western democracy, and that an onslaught of immigration from these countries is undesirable. I don't see why champions of 'diversity' have such a difficult time understanding this; they have an unflappable faith in the goodness or perfectability of mankind. But, as any rationalist will tell you, it just ain't so. Or, as Hemingway said so wearily and exasperatedly, "Wouldn't it be lovely to THINK so?"

My view is, not all cultures have the same value. Some are better than others. PC and lib acquaintances are shocked when I say that, but then I ask, 'do you value, say, the north African culture, more than our own? Great. Considering having your daughter circumcised?'
