Exactly!

Please read Pearls before Swines, reply #57. His stats re these programmed murderers and their supporters leave us very little options in PA!

Re my stats: The 70% approval is the published poll info. About the 10%, who knows the exact number? There seems to be an endless supply of cheering, undisciplined, rock-throwing or AK-47 firing lunatics who seem to feel most alive at the frequent "days of rage" rallies.

You ask: Is it possible to reverse these decades of programmed hatred?

I wish I knew. I think not, barring some drastically imposed cultural reorganization. We imposed something of the sort in Japan, but it wasn't easy. There are a lot more Muslims, and potential Islamists than there were Japanese. The cost would be high, and we wouldn't want to undertake it unless we were forced to (say serious nuclear and biological terror with proven government support). Then there's the problem of the law of unintended consequences. It might not work as planned.

I think the most likely amelioration is through long term reformation. I believe a similar evolution took place in the Judeo-Christian tradition, at least for many. The Old Testament is harsh and unforgiving in spots if interpreted literally rather than allegorically.

It requires a better life, which can only be earned through a cooperative society, not granted by a flood of material foreign aid. So I don't see it any time soon.

The reason we were successful in Japan was General McArthur. He created the strategy to kill as many of their military as we could and to destroy their tools of war. Then the bombing of their homeland for years with the two big ones left them with zero faith in the lies of their super race mentality that got them into the war. They saw McArthur as a God who let them live as long as they behaved.

I had a cousin in the Army who was in Japan until the Korean War broke out. They had zero tolerance for anyone who showed even the slightest tendencies to go back to the good old days of Japanese Imperialism. He helped to train their police. Those hand picked and hand trained police became the front line/core of detecting any of the old hatred starting to emerge. They dealt very swiftly and heavily with any old bad guys and any new bad guys.

It took a long time as you pointed out!

The civilized world has an obligation to ensure that acts of terrorism and barbarism only worsen the cases of the protagonists. Those who committed this act must be brought to justice. However, I would consider a purge or ethnic cleansing of Judea equally repugnant.

I recall the last time Russia threatened Israel, Israel threatened back. Russia backed down. Even Russia does not want to glow in the dark.

Your arrogance is without limits.

"They already had the green light. The only thing holding them back is the same thing that has always held them back - the Russians."

LOL, the Russians don't give a rats ass about the Palis. Certainly not enough to risk war. I mean what are they gonna do? nuke Tel Aviv? Oh yeah, remember all those Jewish teenagers killed in the night club bombing last summer? Almost all of them were Russian.

Should US taxpayers help pay for the explusion of the 'vermin' ? No. And, thankfully, that would not be necessary were that to take place.

Let the Semites handle their civil war by themselves. Since when that has become a civil war?

What a pathetic position: twenty years ago, would you pull out our troops from Europe and let East Germany and West Germany "nuke it out?" Let Germans handle their civil war?

malarski Your arrogance is without limits. I have not idea whether or when the event mentioned by American has taken place. But if it did, what is so arrogant about that statement? He did not allege that Israel would win the war, nor did he/she speculate on any scuh matter.

Is it not true that the post-communist government would try to avoid any part of Russia "glow in the dark?"

I feel sorry for the Palestinians. The were given to the Islamics by Perez, Clinton, Carter and other "feel your pain types". A whole people sold into slavery for nothing, now being led to the slaughter by the Islamic Quest for world domination. Palestinians are a very simple, schooless people. Perfect for sheeple. Just what an Egyptian Islamic Idealist would want to start a war with Israel.

Why did the World sell the Palestinians souls to Arafat?

The terrorists reportedly fled in the direction of Ramallah. Security forces are searching for them, Israel Radio reported.

Lest we forget, Ramallah is where the Jews pulled out of as a peace gesture for Zinni. Every time they pull back the attacks start again, every time they go in they stop.

So if Russia threatened to invade the United States, and the United States said, do it and we will nuke you, (like we have for the last 50 years) it is a double standard?I call it survival.

My point is all the gesturing by Politicos will not make the Jews march to the ovens again. They have a line they will not cross, one that is a long way from what we would put up with. When Russia made noises last time they were so heavily backing the Arabs, Israel roared back. You may think that a few dozen nukes is a laughing matter, but at over a million people per city, a strike of 10 nukes would destroy any countries economy. Including the US. Russia might wipe Israel, but Israel would break Russias back. The United States would be the winner. Not a good trade if you are Russia.

Much better to finance terrorist organisations and let them be the front. That way you can kill your neighbor and not eat nukes. So that is what is happening today. Iran is Hizbulla Syria Hamas and Russia is feeding both cash and trick weapons. China, Russias partner for the moment is taking over the Sudan oil fields using a local Islamic Govt for its front (You did not think they were killing those 2,000,000 christians for fun did you?) and also arming Lybia and Syria through thier proxy North Korea. We feed backsheesh (arabic for bribes) to Turkey, Egypt and Israel. Turkey is unstable, Egypt is unloyal, only the Jews have demonstrated the sense of western honor and loyalty that we can count on. If it was a loosing battle, I fear Turkey would switch sides. Egypt will switch to who ever offers the most today, screw yesterday.

Israel may seem to be just a little backwater, but it is a hinge point for the entire balance of power over the oil fields, and therefore the balance of power of the Industrial world. This is a Very High Stakes game.

Doc lady, Russia and Israel have a pretty decent relationship these days. Hell, Sharon even speaks Russian, apparently a visit there earlier this year went relatively well. I'm sure Putin, as ex-head of the KGB, knows exactly what they're dealing with in Arafat. And I'm positive the Russians would handle the Palestinian problem far more aggressively than the Israelis.

Avraham (Avi) Boaz 72 (dual Israeli-American citizen) kidnapped at a PA
security checkpoint in Beit Jala and murdered

Source: Israel Foreign Ministry

Jan 15, 2002 - Avraham (Avi) Boaz, 72, of Ma'aleh Adumim was kidnapped at a
PA security checkpoint in Beit Jala. His bullet-riddled body was found in a
car in Beit Sahur, in the Bethlehem area.

Avi Boaz, a dual Israeli-American citizen, was an architect. Together with
his partner, a Palestinian engineer, he planned and built many homes in the
Bethlehem area. On Tuesday morning, he used his U.S. passport to enter
Bethlehem with his partner in order to purchase building materials for his
new home in Har Gilo. He was stopped at a PA security checkpoint in Beit
Jala. His murderers abducted him at gunpoint from the roadblock, manned by
Palestinian police, who reportedly witnessed the kidnapping and failed to
intervene. They brought him in his vehicle to Beit Sahur, where they shot
and killed him.

Avi Boaz immigrated to Israel from the United States in 1961. Here, about 40
years ago, he met and married Eve. Although they later divorced, they
remarried just two weeks ago, when Eve was on her deathbed, suffering from
cancer. She passed away several days later.

His daughter, Idit Cohen, said that her father had been on friendly terms
with Palestinians in the Bethlehem area, often eating with them and
attending their family celebrations. "The Arabs of Bethlehem were more than
his friends, they were his family," she said. "He knew Beit Jala better than
he knew Jerusalem. He worked there for many years. He trusted them, and
always believed that things would turn out well. I always worried about him,
because of his travels to that area. He always answered: Nothing will to
happen to me."

Residents in Bethlehem and Beit Jala responded yesterday to Boaz's murder
with disbelief and anger, noting that he had been a fixture on the local
landscape for 20 years, and had become "part of the local society." They
said that Boaz maintained good relations with many in Bethlehem and Beit
Jala, and was "never involved in acts which harm Palestinians."

Avraham Boaz is survived by his daughter, Idit.
