IMHO PotPans's statement (while at face value sounds like the ranting of a extremist) recognizes a harsh truth......that the Sharon strategy of engaging in a war of attrition with the PLO is not working. At the current attrition ratio (about 3 1/2 PLO dead to 1 Israeli murdered), the PLO will not cry uncle first.

PotPan appears to recognize this and is looking for a alternative strategy to Sharon's blind alley.

Israeli's faces some exceedingly tough choices these days. And PotPAn is simply pointing to one solution which given the US veto on Israeli action will require a) US approval or b) Israel finally refusing the golden US handcuffs allowing Israel freedom to manuver in its own best interests.

I agree, we shouldn't be giving the Israeli's billions of dollars in welfare, but there's no reason to call them vermin.
