The President headed to the Big Easy today and spoke about trade to a crowd at Port of New Orleans. Bush asserted that trade is a way out of recession, and urged lawmakers to set aside party politics in an election year and push through his free trade and tax cut agenda. Daschle, are you listening??? Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!!!

QUOTE OF THE DAY: This isn't a Republican issue, this isn't a Democrat issue. Trade is a jobs issue. And the United States Senate needs to hear the voices of the working people and get me a bill I can sign.

Dubya is a man of principles, and
THIS is just another example. No press conference, no fan fair just standing tall for his beliefs,
God Bless George W. Bush

Thanks for the great pictures rintense, I'm always here lurking, and I really appreciate you doing this. It is amazing the perspective we get on the presidency that those who miss these pictures will never understand.
Anyway, my mom, sister and 2 (twenty-something)nieces were there today, and the girls got to shake W's hand. They waited from 6:30 in the morning until he spoke at 9:15 on that cold wharf, but were very excited. My sister took pictures, so I will try to get hold of them to share.

Daschel is playing politics with a very astute opponent. Afraid he doesn't have what it takes to get the best of Dubya.

Thanks once again. The Man--is Looking Good!!!!
To: rintense
I can't tell you how STUPID the big three looked this morning making a big deal out of Bush's brush with choking to death. (no laughing matter)
I was DAMN proud to be a Bush-leaguer today. He was showing off his bruise! What a man. What a president we have. Clintoon looks like Mickey Mouse compared to GWB!! Clintoon would have put on the makeup.

Gosh that's an AWESOME PICTURE with the sunset in the background. God who is the painter of light so fit to gift W with this marvelous sunset! Just like the rainbow, and now this, what a sight! God is good! Thanks for the PICS!

You know, I am just really thankful that we have as President the type of man who isn't too proud to go out into public with facial imperfections. Remember the green nose and the pasty makeup of Clinton and Gore? Bush really is comfortable in himself, and isn't trying to impress anybody.

I missed today's speech but saw at least parts of the ones yesterday.
I noticed something that I don't recall ever being aware of before. You could tell that there were flash bulbs going off continuously! It was truly amazing. I realized later that it was because the photographers were trying to get as many pictures as they could of the President's injuries.
I will make a point of noticing in a week or so when his face has healed if I notice the same phenomenon. Somehow I don't think I will.
RWP ~~~ Another set of great pics!!! Thanks for including that one from yesterday with the sunset ..... it's georgeous!!!

NO:Pity party.
Week off to recover.
Spin doctors to cover for him.
Excuses.
YES:
Humor!
Being a MAN about it!
Showing up on (grueling) schedule!
Showing concern for others, not worrying about himself!
What a man, what a man!
