We had a thread here a while back about the Chinese raising Saint Bernards for food. They were favored because of their fertility and fast growth.

We're supposed to favor diversity here, yet when another culture does something different, that's not OK? How do we look to Muslims and Jews when we eat pork? To Hindus when we eat beef?

I agree with you, what other cultures eat is their business.

I can't imagine eating a dog except as a last resort, but don't think twice about a good steak, ham or chunk of Bambi sausage.
