Well. well I too believe it is a great privilege to serve jury duty. So far I haven't been called yet, but would accept the privilege immediately....since I have never been involved with the law I feel I have no need to fear it....But I suppose a lot of good old common sense would be needed to hear any case...are you up to it??

I've been on two so far. Dismissed from a third call - a lady was charged with killing her husband. The husband was active duty Air Force. I retired from the AF about 18 months prior. When the defense lawyers heard that, I was out the door.

Yes, I'm up to it. With job, wife, young kids. Fortunately, the companies I've worked for allowed for jury duty - no questions.

I understand that jury duty might be an additional burden for some folks. Freedom is a heavy burden.
