Why do the media link all Bush family issues back to W? Wouldn't the statement be more appropriate if they referred to
Florida governor Jeb's Bush's daughter was...
Fox News is about as "fair and balanced," as a lynch mob.

It's the weekend, so FOX probably assigns college interns to the news department to make these content decisions.

Whatever, I hope she gets the help she needs. Please remember that none of us, no matter how hard we work as parents, are exempt from the potential of this kind of tragedy.
We do the best we can as parents, but after a certain age, the "peer group" takes over. Some of our children come equipped with genetics that protect them, and some of our children are all too vulnerable.
That said, we still are obligated to do the very best we can as parents, for this is our duty to the next generation... our very best example and teaching, and then the "tough love" that follows...

Now if drugs were legalized, Ms. Bush wouldn't be getting the help she needs. And as Ms. Bush shows, drug users have such poor judgement that there is no way drug legalization can be considered a sane policy. Can you imagine roads filled with Xanax users and potheads?

I think you missed my point. Jeb Bush is the girl's
father.
George Walker Bush is the uncle.
The media should have either referred to the girl directly, or tied the relationship to her father. Not to W, who is the uncle.

yellow journalism

Are you the President? Would they have reported it if it were your daughter? Get a grip. This is not something to get worked up over. The story IS true.
If they just had of said "Jeb Bushs daughter" they would have been negligent for not reporting it was the Presidents neice. Sorry, but Presidents get more attention than Governors.
To: GuillermoX
And their intimation is that the President's family lacks in morals....
You need to get a grip; you are very naive....

Can you imagine roads filled with Xanax users and potheads? Can you imagine roads filled with alcoholics? Wait, they already are, at least you'd think so given the legality of alcohol. And we know no one under 21 drives drunk, because to them alcohol is illegal.
Do you know what the number of potheads and Xanax users on the highway would be if those drugs were freely available? Just about the same as now.

So you think it's off limits to report that his neice is a druggie?
When something happens to a Kennedy, that gets reported as news...should they not be mentioned either, because it is an "intimation that they lack morals"?
To: Cobra64
Is Roger Clinton there with her?
To: GuillermoX
'Bout the only thing that gets reported about the Kennedy's is that the charges were dropped; or they were not convicted....
(Why didn't the major media carry the story about Chelsea getting so puking sh!tfaced that she had to be carried (complete; with pictures, in the Globe) to her room???)
Oh, I know, because "The Child Molester" has such high morals....

'Bout the only thing that gets reported about the Kennedy's is that the charges were dropped; or they were not convicted.... Now I know you're delusional. Just about ANYTHING that happens to that family gets reported. Or maybe you forgot how they reported Patches attacking a guard in an airport...then him destroying a boat he rented. Then how he admitted he was on anti-depressants. (I believe these events all occurred in the last 12 months)
And of course, from my comments one can extrapolate that I support(ed) Clinton. Sheesh, get a grip.

Hokay...try this part....

Wouldn't the statement be more appropriate if they referred to Florida governor Jeb's Bush's daughter was... One way of looking at it is that Fox might be doing Jeb a favor by leaving his name out of it considering he's trying to get re-elected. Certainly Floridians know which niece this story is about, nonetheless Jeb doesn't need his name attached to negative publicity right now.
