Ex-Gore aide gives McCain campaign finance help

Former Gore campaign manager Donna Brazile lobbied the House yesterday on campaign finance, fulfilling a partnership she said began with Republican Sen. John McCain during the 2000 presidential race.

Miss Brazile said she got to know Mr. McCain during the Republican South Carolina presidential primary in February 2000, when he was locked in a fierce contest with then-Texas Gov. George W. Bush and she was coordinating strategy for Vice President Al Gore.

"We struck up a friendship," Miss Brazile said. "John Weaver [a McCain adviser] was our emissary."

And both this story and the Roll Call story have Mike Pence saying that Weaver is now working with the Dems to defeat Republican House incumbents. First I've ever heard of Weaver. Who knows anything about him?

A google.com search gives a lot of news pieces about McCainiac put out by John Weaver. Just rereading some of them made me sick all over again...one in particular about Gary Bauer's secret meeting with mccain.

I agree with you on both counts ... but it goes beyond this.

When McCain's response to Kosovo was to send in masses of our ground troops, that convinced me he was a person of demented judgement. Until that time, I reacted to McCain the same way I responded to clinton when I first began observing him during the primaries of 1991 ... something about him I knew was REAL trouble, but couldn't quite figure out what it was until later.

Howlin, I agreed with this point when you made it on a thread several weeks ago ...

I am truly alarmed by how many of 'them' are running at the state level ... and the large number of erroneous news articles [and rats dialogue] directed at President Bush.

SOMETHING IS UP ... there is definitely a plan in place, and I believe the clinton's, McAwful, and Carville are at the core of it.

If you can reveal it, who is on the list, and how are they tracked and by whom?

I keep track of ... sorta ... bill richardson, senator bingaman, and some of the dims in NM ... but it sure gives me an upset stomach to keep track of them. Pretty vile characters, IMO.

Why would McCain want help from someone a democrat that engineered AlGores loss to "W"?
