The issue of immigration between the U.S. and Mexico was relegated to the back burner after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in New York and Washington.

What did I tell you about the back burner months ago? Bush is not going to listen to the American people when it come to immigration. He is not going to be satisfied until every city in America looks like Mexico City. Adios Jorge!!

I haven't been following the race - who is she?

BTW - I think THIS is the real reason for the push for amnesty.

What I'm wondering is how the Bush-Bots are going to sping this into Bush NOT being for it. I've been called a liar by them for saying Bubba-2 wanted to do this. Then again, they will probably just refuse to read the article,or say it ever existed. Once Bubba-2 DOES create 3 million new non-English speaking "instant citizens",they will all rave about how this is all part of some "secret plan" Bubba-2 has to destroy the Dims.

I dont understand why President Bush is pushing this.

I do. He is preparing the ground for a presidential run by his half-Mexican nephew by providing him Mexican votes. They know that if they keep pushing this crap, within 10 years the Mexican voters will outnumber the American voters, and once this happens look for a "North American Union" to form, composed of Canada,Mexico, and the US. George "the Mexican" Bush will be the first president of this new country.

I'm astounded that they haven't come to the defense of their man, although, their usual tactic of claiming that the source is a liberal newspaper won't work with the Washington Times. The silence of the lambs.

We are looking at a president that is infinitely more dangerous to our liberties than any in the past, including Clinton!!

You got THAT right! I really wish I have voted for Goober instead of Bush. No way in hell Goober could have gotten away with even half the stuff Bush does without question.

We can't vote for the RATS and our party is selling us down the river.

That's EXACTLY what I plan on doing. If we are going to have a revolution,go ahead and vote for the people who will make it happen sooner. I'm going to vote for whoever runs against him, even though I predict this will be Bubbette!

A quick check to FAIR's website and Stump's Bill is HR 190, which would close the loophole on the 14th Amendment. It currently has 19 sponsors, including a couple of Demos. Interesting Tom Tancredo isn't on there, but I'm sure he'd vote for it.

They better do something with it soon, because it's looking like Rome more and more everyday.

BTW - I think THIS is the real reason for the push for amnesty.

The REAL reason is he is setting the stage for his half-Mexican nephew to be the first president of a united Mexico,USA,and Canada. It will probably be called something like the "North American Union".

BTW,his nephew is another "George Bush".

Got this great letter off of American Patrol. I'm a supporter of Bush, I voted for him, but he needs to listen to what people are saying out there:

I met you and I need your help
(Open letter to President Bush)

2/16/02

Please rethink your priorities before you go to Monterey on March 22. I live in Iowa and I see firsthand what arises out of illegal immigration. We have tuberculosis now, higher rates of STDs, higher crime, higher insurance to pay for those who don't have insurance. I can't afford what we have now and I certainly cannot afford what you are planning to do. Don't do it.

As a new member of the Mahaska County Republican Central Committee, I am working hard to get the NPs (No preference) back into the Republican Party. This takes PERSONAL contacts and PERSONAL appeals. I am here being treated for a brain tumor and if I have the time, I think you have the time. It is that important.

Very few of our central committee members have email, etc., and our state party, with 99 counties, only has a web presence for 3, so we need to do a lot of work. Unfortunately, because of our dissatisfaction with the direction of the Republican Party, we have allowed our state, one of the first to hold primaries, to have a Democrat governor for the first time, ever, as well as electing Sen. Harkin, who is up for re-election now. We are disgusted and don't have anywhere to go; hence, the splinter parties.

We need you to put us back on track. We need YOU to tell US what needs to be done. We should never have lost this state to the Democrats and, quite frankly, if you grant amnesty to all the illegal immigrants brought into our state by the offending corporations (THEY get a wink and an elbow nudge while we foot all the bills!), you can kiss Iowa goodbye. That is blunt, but that is where we are now.

I met you in Baltimore, when you came to the Hyatt to speak. I was the one with the "Prince George's County Loves George W." posters with the crab and flag graphics. Your people took pictures of them. You took my hand in yours, shook it, and looked me dead in the eyes when you told me that you were honored to have me working for you since I had worked for your father at the RNC for his first election.

Well, I am pulling in my marker. You owe me; you owe Iowa. (We were your first victory.) Do the best thing for our country. Forget about the new worlders and the globalists. We are dying out here because of failed policies. And it will only get worse if YOU don't use your bully pulpit. Do it, please.

Melanie W.
Iowa

You are probably right. But, this is what amnesty is going to get you.

But this jump in local births is not distributed evenly. Birth rates in Texas have increased among Hispanics during the last decade, while they have decreased for other ethnic groups. When he started his job in 1982, said Parkland's chief executive officer Dr. Ron Anderson, only about 15 percent of births were among Hispanics. Today, three out of four women who deliver at the hospital are Hispanic.

Dr. Anderson also recites another statistic by heart: About 55 percent of Hispanics in Dallas County are uninsured, compared with 29 percent of the county's overall population. People without health insurance tend to go to Parkland. So Parkland is in the middle of a baby boom partly because of a boom in the population it serves the most, Dr. Anderson said.

This is from WFAA-TV.

Why does the saying used, abused and discarded come to mind?

They do kiss-up to everyone at election time, but when they get in, do whatever pleases their friends. Their real supporters, the general population can take a hike.

Bush better be aware many more people frequent web sites like this than he may think, so people know what's going on, even if he thinks we're asleep out here.

It's not only Texas - we're having a Mexican baby boom here in New York. Guess who pays?

They also argue granting legal status to currently illegal workers could stem the flow of immigrants, if combined with better law enforcement cooperation with Mexico.

What a bunch of crock. This is probably coming from the same people who said NAFTA would stem the flow. It didn't, it made it worse. Any guest worker program is going to encourage more illegal immigration. Couple that with the fraud and the anchor baby scam, and you might as well open the border and make Mexico the 51st state.
