Hopefully if it does happen, it will be under Bush or some other conservative, where whatever Canadian provinces come over do it as states and ratify our Constitution and the Democrats won't have enough political power to do anything but whine that we ought to have a new frame of government of their design.

I don't know anything about Stockwell Day (actually, when I first came across the name I thought it was a holiday, like Independence Day or MLK day in the US). You HAVE to pardon my ignorance, I TRY to keep up with international politics...but I'm sure you don't know who Mary Harney is either (who is the leader of the PD's in Ireland).

BUT if JLA thinks Stockwell Day is a good guy. I believe him. (He's NEVER put me astray) :-)

Most US conservatives agreed that W. was extraordinarily electable and all D's feared him the most. Think about the foreign policy he has presented. It's extraordinarily aggressive and most of our allies hate it, but W will have everyone on board before any other action because he has great political skills. Those that know him understand that fact.

P.S. Great game on Sunday. We really need to do it more often. I wish we had a North America Cup once a year between Teams Canada and USA.
