Exactly, and I'll bet that whenever she brought up the idea of changing their agreement made before marriage, Mr. Flexibility nixed the idea. We were happy living in a bus? She opted for natural childbirth on her own volition?
What a sick little marriage...

I only hope with all the plubicity from the trial, he will never find another woman to marry and produce more children with. At least I hope no other woman would want anything to do with him after hearing all this.

Okay, I and my husband agreed to a "traditional" marriage too. I agreed to be a stay-at-home mom, but obviously the Yates' fine print was a tad different than mine. As for natural childbirth, I did, indeed, choose that of my own free will -- twice. With #3, I discovered the miracle of epidurals.

Ummm.. go to any parenting website and you can verify there are a ton, if not most women(on the net anyway) opting for this. They at least shoot for it as a goal. It's a perfectionism streak that I've seen run not only through Christian women, but the New agey types as well. I know it's hard to believe, but this is all the rage right now along with water birthing and even lotus birth, midwifery, herbal care, etc. This is not some strange thing to me that she was considering this seeing how many women are now. many even draw up elaborate birth plans and make thier dh's watch dogs to ensure they don't take medications in the climax of labor.
