Just one more justification for being armed. At least in Israel the government there is not idiotic about personal self defense. That man should be a national hero.

More interesting is the heroic little fellow who took a knife to the gunfight.

Give credit to Mr. Hazan, but his act was probably made possible by the little guy -- who had to stab him to get his attention.

There, he saw a tall man hitting a shorter man with a knife and jumped to conclusions.  "I thought the small man was the terrorist," Hazan said.  "I was going to hit him with the butt of my pistol, but then I got a knife in my belly," he said.  "I realized I was looking at the wrong man, so I turned my gun and shot the other one."

Was this man literally stabbed in the belly or is the "knife in the belly" a figure of speech meaning he realized he was going to shoot the wrong man?
