The FBI are acting like arrogant weasels: There is NO mafia or drug trafficer threat to the agent. His name and picture should be released. The law abiding citizenry should be allowed to treat him and his family as they see fit. Without community pressure on LEOs, there will be no justice.
I don't understand what "his family" has to do with this.

Until they do, we must consider all FBI Agents and employees to be equally incompetent, dangerous to others, and cowardly.
This is but one reason why certain other agencies now consider release of sensitive confidential information to the FBI to constitute an unacceptable security risk, not to mention foreign intelligence service penetration by moles inside the FBI senior ranks, such as Robert Hannsen and others.
