As I say, neo-Puritanical Liberalism and Islamic fundamentalism are very much alike. Liberals would love to establish the Taliban in America--under their control. In fact, like the Talibani, they want to control everything. The foundation of Liberalism is the belief that all problems would resolve if only a well-meaning oligarchy were in control of everything; and they see themselves in control of that oligarchy.

Wow!
"Neo-Puritanical Liberalism." You really sum up the nature of the modern left in a most descriptive way. You mind if I use that?
I've thought for a long time, that the politically correct, eviro-socialists were really acting out of quasi religious motivations. Especially these bubble-brained 20 somethings that are "into saving the environment". People need to feel like they are part of something larger than themselves and since religion is now "dumb", "working to protect the environment" and for "Social Justice" have taken their place. The amazing thing is that they think they are the tolarant ones. Sheesh!

Us po' publicans just ain't smart nuf to raise our own young 'uns. We'd know that if we only attended the local university to have liberal professors paid with our tax dollars tell us how wrongheaded we are to oppose the loving oversight of big government.
Who was it that said we need to fear the politicians who want to do things "for our own good" most of all?

Damn those sneaky Liberals!! It's a good thing the Freedom-loving Conservatives in the Bush Administration are turning everything around. Oh wait a minute, they're accelerating the decline into facism. Forget what I said.
