People need to be *very* careful about their health care providers. Don't just pick someone off an insurance list or out of the phone book; talk to friends, people in your church, etc. Decide what ditches you're willing to die in and be prepared *before* you go into the examining room.
If God forbid you *have* to take your children to a stranger about whom you have no knowledge, insist that you stay in the room with them. (If it's a modesty issue, have dad stay with a teenage boy, mom with a teenage girl.) If the doctor protests, then you refuse further treatment and inform them you are seeking medical attention from someone else, pay the bill, and get the heck out of there.
