Bill Clinton, Enron's host in the White House, was not available for comment yesterday (and who knows where to find Al Gore?).
"I know you are as shocked as I was to learn this," says Tommy Toles, a former newspaperman and congressional staffer to the late-Georgia Rep. Lawrence P. McDonald, who supplied the scandalous information to Inside the Beltway.

I wonder why I am not surprised?
But, sadly, I don't think that this will effect any possible retribution on Enron or the gazillionaire officers of that company.
Nor will it bring back any monies lost by the less than wealthy folks who lost so much putting their stored for winter funds in Enron stock, whether willingly or by "company plan".

Evidently not you and the millions of voters who elected Clinton into office twice, so he could dismantle our nation's morality, military secrets, and technology and sell it out to the highest bidders.
There are some of us who do care and want to make sure that the rest of the nation remembers how this buffoon almost destroyed our country right underneath our very own noses. History has a way of repeating itself when people don't heed the warnings of the past.

What is surprising is that Global Crossing contributed far greater amounts to the dems, including Clinton, and there is no inquiry nor press.

and there is no inquiry nor press. There is so much the public is not aware of, simply because the people in the media will not mention it- ever.
People get their clues about "what's important" from the TV, celebrities, and the headlines. If they don't talk about it- a lot- the public doesn't care.

I don't find that the least bit surprising.
If we had a fair and unbiased press, then I would find it surprising. But since the majority of the U.S. press are nothing more than democRAT lap dogs, what else would you expect?
