it is very flattering to have such an inept nemesis
Ineptitude, Willie Green is in the eye of the beholder.
Especially for those who would deign to judge there own case.
I just let the rest of the world figure what they will regarding my input.
So be it.
Ole eagle-eye willy who can spot a fly a mile away and miss the horse it's riding on.
There are no horses involved. Only NRST jack@$$es.
(Unless, of course, you'd prefer the term "horse's @$$". I'm flexible.)
Unfortunately, silver coinage stopped in the U.S. 35+ years ago.
With that I can wholeheartedly agree.
Unfortunately that is just one of many spin-offs of the FDR/Ruml view of taxation.
Tell me, do you always start attacking the messenger when you are disagreed with?
It is a very poor method of supporting your views. It usually is an indication that one has run out of anything of substance to say.
Goodnight,Willy.
No, just curious.
NRST flying monkeys all seem to have some sort of intellectual deficiency about them.
I thought it might be interesting to collect some data and quantify it.
(IOW, what the heck do penguins got to do with anything???)
Thats the scary part!!! Federal Manufacturing!! God help us!
Goo Nite willy oops Willie.
Good hunt'n Willy Willie.
Amen!!!
But if you really stop to think about it, government bureacrats have been designing automobiles for decades!!!
Now get to bed before they send the nurse after you.
Keep your humor up Willie, you are better for it:o)
Guys, The rates would not have to be increased. In fact, removing deductions and exemptions would probably reduce the rate to less than the lowest rate of today. In Maryland as of three years ago, deductions and exemptions allowed for 1/3rd of income not to be taxed. And, that percentage was growing by the year. The feds have many more and "better" deductions and/or exemptions. All to favor "today's" particular social agenda. Plus many of "yesterday's" social agendas that have been forgotten. But, I've got to ask why non-taxpayers {children and many others} should be benefitted under the tax law? If the social agenda of the "family" {or any other} is to be encouraged, then godgov should show expenditures rather than hide it in some tax code.
The current expenditures by fedgodgov on education is probably close to one third of total expenditures as it was a few years ago. So whether or not they should be involved, they are. Personally, I would do away with rents paid to godgovs in the name of "Property taxes", and draw EVERYTHING from a flat tax based on "income from whatever source derived" levied on all taxable entities with no deductions and no exemptions except possibly the first ten thousand dollars of each and every one of those taxable entities. NO EXCEPTIONS for social engineering. MAKE governments own up in their expenditures to EXACTLY what they are supporting!
Course, as I've written and said MANY times before, this puts too many HIGH DOLLAR people {such as Anderson} out of business, and eliminates MUCH of the need for a "taxing" agency. Nah, ain't likely. ONLY tax schemes written by the rich for the rich and their cronies will ever even be debated. Witness the NRST, and Armey's"flat" tax. BOTH exempt business and godgov approved investors. Socialism personified. Nah. Ain't likely Peace and love, George.
Guys, The rates would not have to be increased. In fact, removing deductions and exemptions would probably reduce the rate to less than the lowest rate of today.
The rates in reply #24 are based on a no deductions federal individual income tax with your $10,000 personal exemption with an equal rate tax on business profits plus maintainence of the SS/Mediscare tax as a separate tax in deference to Willie Green.
If we include SS/Medicare and other payroll taxes that income tax rate would increase from 18.2% on $10,000 exemption to something more than 26%
The rates of an individual income tax with no personal exemption instead would be about 13.1% + SS/Mediscare taxes or around 21% folding SS/Medicare into the income tax rates.
Those are the lowest possible rates for the kind of tax tax you envision given no repeals of current government programs. I know you simply do not accept that, but that's just your emotioal attachement to your idea speaking, a not anything based on economic reality.
The problem is George you really do not have a concept of how truly bloated our national government has become, and that is why you do not understand the number.
We have been overthis territory before George, and you refuse to actually study or understand the numbers. I can't help that.
The current expenditures by fedgodgov on education is probably close to one third of total expenditures as it was a few years ago.
The current Federal government's contribution to education is about $54 billion out of a $2 Trillion dollar budget. Where are you getting your numbers George? Looks like they include state and local budgets in them at the best or totally off the cuff at worst.
The federal government makes up only small percentage of total educational budgets, and then little having to do with "education". State & local taxes pay for education George, not the National Government.
We are talking about the National tax system here not state or local taxes which are an entirely separate issue to be addressed state by state. Federal law cannot mandate tax law in the states or local communities.
