Men work outside the home and provide the money for everything.
When men are home they help the women as needed.
Women work in the home to provide a nurturing environment and raise children (including schooling them).
If you don't have this arrangement then you are failing yourselves.
Since the shift from a manufacturing economy to a service economy, it has become increasingly necessary for women to contribute to the household income. And even if this were not the case, far be it from anyone to tell me where I belong, or where you belong.
I actually find it a bit incredulous that American men do 16 hours of household chores (unless they keep tabs like my son does--he takes 90 minutes to do 15 minutes worth of dishes).
